The chief attraction of Langtang trekking is the Langtang Mountain range in the north of the valley and several lakes in the south. This region is also famous for the culture of ever smiling Tamangs (ethnic group). The region covers three districts (Nuwakot , Rasuwa and Sindhupalchok ) starting at 554 m tropical climate giving way to alpine towards higher altitude. The national park accommodates various species of wildlife including rare Red Panda, Musk deer, Snowleopard etc. Common birds seen here are tragopan, Himalayan Monal, Blood-pheasant, Tibetan Snowcock, Bearded Vulture etc. And the region is also famous for its Buddhist pilgrimage site Kyanjin Gompa and Gosainkunda lake.

Day 01 Kathmandu- drive to- Syaphru bensi(1590m)4/5hrs:
The distance to Syaphrubensi is only 125 km from Kathmandu. Because of the mountainous uphill and winding road the jeep takes longer than on a normal road which provides opportunity to take photographs enroute.
Day 02 Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m) – 6hrs, 1070m ascent:
The trail walks through the Langtang River George to Bamboo and then climbs uphill to Lama Hotel. The vegetation is mixed, alpine and sub-alpine, along the Lantang River. Lamahotel is situated by the bank of Lantang River. It is not a village, but teahouses set up for the trekkers by the people from Sherpa Gaon and Langtang Village.
Day 03 Langtang Village (3430m)- 5hrs, 980m ascent:
The village is the biggest in terms of geography and demography and one of the oldest villages of Nepal originated from confluence of two different cultures- Tamang and Tibetan. Yak could be seen grazing along the path and pastures. The village owns a cheese-factory.
Day04– Acclimatization and Village tour during the day:
One day rest before Kyanjin is best way to acclimatize and getting to know local people and their culture or way of life.
Day 05 Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)-4hrs, 460m ascent:
Trail to Kyanjin from Lantang village is gradual uphill mixed with farmland and pastures and the longest mane-wall that divides the walking path from left-side to the right. People do claim that it is the longest Mane-Wall (built of carved slate rocks) in the world. It may be true because no other Buddhist cultures have tradition of dividing the path with the rocks letter and figure carved in them.
Day 06 Kyanjin Overstay: Hike to kyanjin- Ri (4773m) Tserko-Ri (4984m) in the morning. 360 degree view of the mountains. This is the last village in the trek. We have a view of the Tilman Pass, Langtang range in close up and Tibetan Plateau.
Day 07 Trek to Ghoda-tabela (2970m)- 4hrs
Walking back is easier than climbing up. Ghodatabela is a teahouse spot between Lama Hotel and Langtang valley where there’s a check point before reaching Langtang.
Day 08 Trek to Thulo Syabru (2600m)- 5 hrs:
The trail diverges from Landslide and walks up hill leaving the Langtang River behind. The path walks through forest to the Village. Thulo Syabru is one of the richest and old villages in the region similar to Langtang, but Tamang people in this village are higher in numbers.
Day 09 Trek to Dunche (1900m):
The path walks 3 hrs down to Bharkhu village where we meet the road to Dhunche and Shyabrubensi. It takes about an hour and half to reach Dhunche from Bharkhu.
